The Govee Developer API can be leveraged to control your WiFi-capable devices and query your device state. But why is this important… isn’t that what the Govee Home App is for? Yes, there are many integrations in Govee’s ecosystem. However, if you are a power user who wants to create custom automation or integrate Govee into your home automation, then understanding the Govee APIs will be beneficial. One quick example of automation I am working on is turning on all my Govee outdoor lights to match a similar scene as my Hayward ColorLogic Pool LED lights.
